About Tray

Tommy Ray Guess III ("Tray") was born in Boulder, Colorado, where he spent the majority of his life. He is a trumpet player who is versed in orchestral, jazz, and concert music.

In May 2020, Tray graduated from Cornell College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He studied under Lydia Dempsey from 2019-2020 and currently studies under Dr. Aaron Perrine from 2017-2019, 2021-present.

 

Tray recently completed a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He will start his PhD in the fall. His engineering research interests include semiconducting quantum computers.
